We’re thrilled to introduce you to our new owners, Lori and Steve, along with their daughter, who have been part of the Make It Messy! family from the very beginning. Lori and Steve share a deep love for this community and are passionate about keeping the spirit of creativity, fun, and messy play alive for kids and families of all ages.
As parents themselves, Lori and Steve understand the importance of having a space where kids can explore their creativity without limitations—and, of course, where parents can enjoy the fun without worrying about the cleanup!
Under their leadership, you can expect the same exciting events, arts and crafts, and imaginative experiences that you know and love at Make It Messy! They’re excited to bring fresh ideas and new adventures, all while staying true to the vision that makes this space so special.
We can’t wait for you to come visit and make more messy memories with us!
Beth is the friendly face who keeps Make It Messy! running smoothly and keeps the creativity flowing! She’s here to make sure every open play session, birthday, and special event goes off without a hitch. From crafting custom designs to coordinating activities, Beth brings a touch of magic to each visit while making sure everything stays safe and organized.
Solei brings her artistic flair and passion for teaching to Make It Messy! As our Mess Mentor, she leads hands-on art classes for kids and adults alike, sparking creativity and building new skills. From guiding little artists through their first masterpiece to organizing field trips and adult classes, Solei makes every learning experience fun and engaging.
At Make It Messy!, Lexie is both a creative guide and clean-up pro! She keeps everything organized behind the scenes while encouraging kids to explore, create, and, of course, get a little messy. From mopping up paint splatters to arranging supplies, Lexie makes sure everything’s ready for the next round of fun!
As a mom of three, I’ve always hesitated when my kids asked to paint or play with slime—one ruined carpet was one too many! That’s when the idea for Make It Messy! was born. I wanted to create a space where kids and adults alike could dive into creativity, make all the messes they wanted, and not worry about the cleanup. A place where everyone could express themselves, release stress, and just have fun.
Since we opened, Make It Messy! has become more than just a creative space; it’s become a community. Watching families and friends come together here, seeing the joy and laughter that messy play brings, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Now, as I step into a new chapter to focus more on my own family, I’m thrilled to pass the paint brush to someone who shares my love for this messy, wonderful world. Our new owner, Lori Divilbiss, has been a part of the Make It Messy! family from the very beginning, and I know she’ll continue to nurture the creative spirit that makes this place so special.
Thank you to everyone who has made this journey so meaningful. I’m excited to see what’s next for Make It Messy! under new leadership, and I’m so grateful for all the messy memories we’ve created together.

Make it Messy is a blend between things you might see in a children's museum, an arts and crafts space, and sensory activities. At Make it Messy you can do all the things mom and dad don't want in the house: slime, sand, ooblek, paint, tie dye, shaving cream activities, bubbles, etc! Come expand your imagination, work on your fine motor skills, and express yourself creatively!
We get this question a lot! If you are dropping in for Open Play, you do not need to book ahead of time. We do suggest that you check social media to see if we are closed for some time for a private event that day, but those are rare. The only things you need to preregister for are Art Classes/Series, Birthday Parties, and Special Events.
Wear mess friendly clothes! If you have non slip shoes, that's a plus. We do have some art smocks and safety glasses to borrow while you are here.
Food and drinks are only allowed in the party space. Water only please outside of the party room.
Adults are only required to pay when they are participating in the activities with their children and utilizing the supplies and materials. If they are there to observe their child, then there is no payment required.
Yes! We have six different table activities that change every week with new take home arts and crafts. Place your activity on the drying table and then hang it proudly on your refrigerator!
NOT AT ALL!!! It truly is for people of all ages. Each week has different activities that meet the interests of all ages.
